Wellness Examinations
We offer tailored vaccination programs, deworming, parasite control and required annual testing. All routine examinations include a complimentary nail trim and diet recommendation.
Titre Testing
This test helps us determine what (if any) vaccines are needed for your pet this year. We offer vaccine titre testing for Distemper, Parvovirus and Hepatitis viruses. A blood sample is collected and the test is run in the clinic to see if the patient has adequate antibodies to fight against these viruses. Test results are typically given within 24 hours.

Heartworm and Ticks
Testing begins April 1st of each year. We recommend that ALL dogs (over 8 months of age) are tested every year no matter their lifestyle as Brantford is a high tick and heartworm positive area. We also offer Wellness packages at this time of your which allow us to check things like liver, kidney and blood cell counts along with their heartworm test. This is a great option as a baseline for healthy dogs, monitoring for dogs on long term medication and routine blood work to help identify early indications of a problem.
Pharmacy
We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, supplements, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also use multiple compounding pharmacies to that you have options for your pets medications (eg. in chew form, liquid, different flavours).
Dietary Counseling
We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We also carry a full line of prescription diets for treatment and prevention of an assortment of issues such as dental disease, diarrhea, food allergies, urinary and kidney disease. Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are here to help you every step of the way to get your cat or dog to their healthy weight
Behavioral Counseling
We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We can also refer you to several behavioral experts and trainers in the Brantford and surrounding areas.
Emergency
Call us right away if you believe that your pet is in need of immediate care during our normal business hours. For after hours emergencies or inquiries of a serious nature, we recommend that you call Brant Norfolk Veterinary Clinic at 519-720-0753. They are open and staffed during all of the hours that we are closed including holidays. If the matter is not urgent, a message can be left on our answering machine and calls will be returned the following work day.

- Dogs that have unknown vaccine history (eg. newly adopted or rescued) to determine whether the animal is protected or requires vaccinations
- Are healthy but we want to limit how many vaccines they receive to reduce their risk of adverse reactions from those vaccines.
